Mazurek 75 of Fords entered into eternal rest January 19, 2019 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. He was born in Perth Amboy and was a lifelong resident of Fords. Gene owned and operated Bacadi Oil in Perth Amboy for 10 years.

He had previously worked as a State Campus Security Guard at Kean University in Union for 12 years. He enjoyed working with cars, boats and motorcycles, and played the guitar in various bands locally. He particularly enjoyed visiting with his daughter and granddaughter in Florida.

Gene is survived by his daughter Elle Geng of Ponte Vedra, FL, his granddaughter Brianna Burns and her husband Matthew, and great granddaughter Payton, and his siblings Donna Butth of Perth Amboy and Gregory Mazurek of Old Bridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. There will be a religious service during the visitation.
