Eugene “Gene” Winebaugh October 11, 1938 – March 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Eugene “Gene” Winebaugh, 80, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019. Gene was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1938, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to William R. and Dixie Ellen Black Winebaugh. Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, great grandfather, neighbor, and friend.

He was of the Baptist faith. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Dixie Ellen Black Winebaugh; brothers, Bill, Dewie, Duel, Gerald, and Harvey Winebaugh; and sisters, Pauline Aldrick and Evelyn Wellner. Gene is survived by his wife, Mary A. Wilkerson Winebaugh, of the home; daughter, Debbie (Danny) Buck, of Lepanto; stepson, Donald (Bobbie) Brooks, of Warrensburg, Missouri; stepdaughters, Gail Fort, of Bono, and Darlene Jansen, of Reyno; sisters, Mary Lou (Mark) Borton, of Clio, Michigan, and Shirley Wingler, of Bryan, Georgia; grandchildren, Dane Buck, of Lepanto, Matthew C. (Dawn) Jansen, of Pocahontas, Blake Jansen, of Blytheville, and Caylin Fort, of Bono; and great grandchildren, Gauge Jansen and Destiny Jansen.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas. Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition. The cremation process will be initiated after Gene’s visitation has concluded.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
