OBITUARY Eugene Rolland Taylor October 26, 1926 – December 22, 2018 Eugene R. “Gene” Taylor of Mesa, AZ passed away December 22, 2018 at the age of 92. He was born to Harry R. and Frances [Adams] Taylor on October 26, 1926 in St. Helena, CA. Gene had a love of music and at the age of 10 he started taking violin lessons; he later joined an orchestra and was a tenor in the choir.

He was a very decisive and adventurous man and enjoyed waterskiing, snow skiing and racquetball; he also enjoyed swimming and was very active in teaching others to swim. Gene devoted his life to serving others and the Lord, he was in ministry for 66 years and during that time, he spent two years as a missionary in Galway, Ireland. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn “Evie” Taylor who he married in October of 1995; his sons, Marvin (Sharon) Taylor and Lyndon Taylor as well as three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be at 2:30pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Mesa Palms Seventh-day Adventist Church, 6263 E. Thomas Rd, Mesa AZ 85215. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care.
