OBITUARY Eugenio M. De La Cruz April 23, 1965 – September 16, 2018 Eugenio M. De La Cruz, age 53, of San Diego, California passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Eugenio was born April 23, 1965 in Matamoros, Mexico. Eugenio graduated from Porter High School in Brownsville, Texas, where he immediately enlisted into the United States Navy.

He retired from the USN after 20 years of service and received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He is known by many as Mr. Fix It and was a big Dallas Cowboy fan. He is a long time parishioner at St. Rose of Lima and served as an Usher for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his wife (Dawn), daughters (Alisa & Krystal), son-in-law (Leo Carlo), sister (Elisa), brothers (Frederico & Pedro Jr.), mother (Ofelia), and grandchildren (Calvin, Alana, and Baby #3). The Viewing will be held October 1, 2018 5:00 p.m-9:00pm at Glen Abbey main chapel. Funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church 293 H. Street Chula Vista, CA 91911 will occur Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

A Committal Service at Glen Abbey memorial park will occur Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. A reception at Glen Abbey Little Lodge will occur Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.
