Eva C. Hoover Age 110 of Ludlow Falls, passed away May 15, 2018, at her home. She was born May 3, 1908, in Miami County, Ohio, to her parents Albert & Martha (Ward) Dohner. On March 21, 1933, she married Samuel G. Hoover in Pleasant Hill and together they shared a life for over 71 years until his passing in 2004.

Eva retired in 1964 after 19 years of service as a cook for Concord Schools. She also cooked at the church camp for several summers. She was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church of Pleasant Hill and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and quilting.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving children and their spouses Anna Marie Hoover of Ludlow Falls, S. Albert & Marilyn Hoover of Bulverde, Texas, John & Rosalie Hoover of Ludlow Falls, Philip & Lorraine Hoover of Ludlow Falls; 6 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister Fay Lindsay of Oakland, California. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel; sisters Estella Haines and Jeanette Dohner; brothers Ward Dohner and Edgar Dohner. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 19, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill.

Pastor John Weaver will officiate with interment following at Highland Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the Brethren in Christ Church, P O Box 446, Pleasant Hill, Ohio 45359.
