Evelyn (Czerkowicz) Prochniak, passed away quietly with her family by her side at St Antoine Residence. She was born August 23,1927 daughter of the late Bertha and George Czerkowicz. She was predesceased by her siblings Leo, Harry, and Mary Czerkowicz and her loving husband Eugene Prochniak, (Former Deputy Fire Chief, WFD).

She is survived by her 3 children Mary Collins and her husband Kevin of Stonington Ct, Helen Payne and her husband Douglas of Satellite Beach FL, and Peter and his wife Sharon, of No. Smithfield , also 2 sisters Helen Czerkowicz of No. Smithfield & Stasia Klara of Woonsocket.

Her pride and joy are her 9 grand children Christopher Collins, Glenn and Dr Katie Payne, Jenna and Jaclyn Prochniak, Vincent, Lepore, Nathaniel, Ethan and Abigail Cardin Prochniak. Also 3 great grandchildren Kaliyah and Lana Prochniak and Cohen Topik. The family would like to thank Hospice and the staff of St Antoine for their care during the last year.

Relatives & Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 12,th at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St. Slatersville. Burial will be private. The Prochniak family will greet guests at 10:30 A.M. at the entrance of St. John’s Church , before the Funeral Mass.
