OBITUARY Evelyn Kaplan December 20, 1924 – December 26, 2018 Evelyn Kaplan, age 94, of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday December 26, 2018. Evelyn was born December 20, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York. Evelyn is survived by; son Steven (Linda) Kaplan; son Dennis (Patti) Kaplan; son Ricky (Vilma)Kaplan; son Harley (Sybil) Kaplan; and son Jamie Kaplan; grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and great grandmother of nine great grandchildren.

She has been surrounded by family for her entire life, and has celebrated her 94th birthday for the entire month of December with all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren by her side. In her final few days, she was never alone – always surrounded by loving family. Evelyn was affectionately known and referred to as Grandma GiGi.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Norman Kaplan (1979) as well as her parents, Sam and Grace Goz and her brother Phillip Goz. Evelyn lived in Covered Bridge I in Manalapan NJ for the last 31 years. She volunteered at CentraState Hospital mostly in the nursery.

She worked during World War II with the Signal Corps in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Funeral services will occur Thursday, December 27, 2018 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue (Route #527 North), Manalapan, NJ 07726. Burial will take place at New Montefiore Cemetery West Babylon, New York.

The Period of Mourning will be observed at the residence of Steven and Linda Kaplan. 13 Spencer Circle, Marlboro, NJ Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. bloomfieldcoopermanalapan.com for the Kaplan family.
