OBITUARY Evelyn “Red” Marie Lee Alleman Dugas February 20, 1918 – January 26, 2019 Evelyn “Red” Marie Lee Alleman Dugas passed away January 26, 2019 at 100 years old. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John P. Dugas Sr. Mother of Jacqueline Dugas Lowry (Thomas), John P. “Black” Dugas Jr. (Barbara), grandmother of Shelly Guilbeau (Jimmie), Trisha Higdon (Shane), Trey Dugas (Jenny), Dustin Lowry (Valerie), and Tara Folse (Lance), great-grandmother of Savanna Ronco, Brock, Brady, and Brenan Mire, Collin Lowry, Austin, Alex, and Addison Higdon, Lainnie, Lauren, and Landyn Dugas, Emma and Ella Martin, Easton and Emelia Folse, and Erin Champagne. Great-great grandmother of Sloan Champagne.

Sister of Beverly Alleman Girardot (Bob), and sister-in-law of Lucy Alleman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. With her husband, she is also preceded in death by her mother Zoemie Alleman, father Israel Alleman and brother Aucoin Paul Alleman.

Evelyn was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic church in Norco, LA, a member of the VFW Auxiliary 6640 and American Legion 0195 and the Nifty Fifties. She retired from ABF Freightlines and an IBM Operator. The family wishes to say a special thank-you to her devoted caregivers, Peggy Guedry, Susie Powell, and Penny Singlitary whom she loved so dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart Church, 401 Spruce St. Norco, LA, on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 beginning at 9:30 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM with burial following at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
