Everett’s Obituary Everett Dickens, age 72, passed away in Childress, Texas on May 2, 2019. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, May 9, 2019 in Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Randy Wilson officiating. Everett was born on September 23, 1946 in Teague, TX to Nathan E. Dickens and Elizabeth Ann Gay Dickens.

He was a man of God who loved his church. He was an active member of Carey Baptist Church. He loved children, hunting and fishing.

He was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Comer; Step-father, Billy Comer Sr.; brother, Ronald Dickens; brother, Billy Comer Jr.; sister, Teala Comer; father, Nathan Dickens; Grandmother, Elizabeth Alline Gay; grandfather, Gary L. Gay Sr. Everett is survived by his sister, Sally Box and husband, Ricky of McKinney, TX; sister, Vickey Rampy and husband, Robert of Childress, TX; brother, Randall Dickens; sister, Susan Persons of Teague, TX; brother, Richard Comer of Longview, TX; step-sister, Sandy Ward of Madisonville, TX; step-mother, Lavern Senter of Teague, TX.
