OBITUARY Everett Howard Freeman September 26, 1928 – October 18, 2018 Everett Howard Freeman, 90 passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Everett was a native of Gaston County and was born September 26, 1928 to the late Albert and Ollie (Rogers) Freeman. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and Air Force National Guard during WWII.

Everett was a friend to everyone. He was lovable, had a good heart and loved to tell a good joke. His favorite pastimes were gardening, sketching and reading about history and astronomy and reading his Bible.

Everett will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his four daughters, Rebecca McLaughlin and husband, John of Charlotte, Debbie Rayfield and husband, Mike of Kings Mountain, Shirley Ratchford and husband, Tom of Indian Trail and Donna Markham and husband, Robbie of Palm City, FL; one grandson, Wesley Rayfield. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Berlena Freeman.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at New Faith Baptist Church in Stanley, NC. Reverend Joe Drum will preside.
