Obituary of Faith Resnik Faith Ann “Coach” Resnik, age 54, of White Oak, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 12, 2018, surrounded by all of her siblings and many other family members. She was born in McKeesport on February 6, 1964 and is the daughter of her loving parents, the late Charles “Chuck” and Florence Rossing Resnik. She was also preceded in death by her big brothers, Charlie and Danny “Rusk” Resnik.

As a White Oak native, Faith graduated from McKeesport High School and participated in the Special Olympics. She had a contagious, loving spirit and zest for life that showed in everything she did; this year marked her 30th year working at Pizza Hut in White Oak, her 30th year working at UPMC McKeesport GI office, her 20th year in the bowling league “The Early Birds”, her 30th family trip to Hilton Head Island, her first camping trip in the Allegheny National Forest, and her 54th year loving Pittsburgh sports and the LSU school yard. She had a knack for making friends wherever she went, perfectly placing tinsel on the Christmas tree, knowing all the latest sports stats, seeing the best in everyone, and hiding Twizzlers in her sock drawer.

She will be dearly missed by her family, who feel honored to have been by her side for so many years. Faith will be forever remembered by her devoted brothers and sisters, John (Eva) Resnik of Lincoln Borough, Bernard Resnik of White Oak, Mary Kay (Sudhir) Narla of Jefferson Hills, Kevin (Kristine) Resnik of White Oak, and Susan (Tony) Mejalli of West Mifflin. Faith “as Coach” will also be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews, Kevin Jr. (Megan), Nick and Mike Resnik, Sunil (Carrie) and Sonya Narla, Charlie and Hannalea Resnik, Rachel, Gabby and AJ Mejalli, great nephews, Carter and Cole Resnik, as well as extended family and dear friends.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177) from 2:00 until 8:00 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 10:00 am at St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak with Fr. Kevin Dominik officiating.

Burial will follow. Remembrances may be made to the Special Olympics, 113319th St. NW, Washington, DC 20036.
