Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mrs. Faye Moorman, 89, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2019, at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 11:15 a.m., at Oak Hill Cemetery (Blackmur Dr., Water Valley, MS 38965). Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Bro. Keith Williams will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moorman was born in Memphis, TN. She was a member of Gatewood Church of God in Coffeeville, MS. Mrs. Moorman always enjoyed working in her flower gardens in her free time.

She was also known to be an amazing cook, who made the most wonderful chocolate pies and apple pies. Mrs. Moorman was an avid football and baseball fan. She loved her Mississippi State Bulldogs and St. Louis Cardinals.

However, Mrs. Moorman loved nothing more than her family and grandchildren. Her son, Freddie Moorman, was her pride and joy. Mrs. Moorman is survived by her son, Freddie (Carole) Moorman of Water Valley; two granddaughters, Heather (Jeff) Bynum and Hope Ruiz, both of Water Valley; five great-grandsons, Dustin (Bonnie) Person, Cody (Tayler) Person, Trey Pipkin, Garrett Bynum, and Luke Bynum, all of Water Valley; and three great great-grandchildren, Emmett Person, Emerson Person, and Presleigh Ann Person, all of Water Valley.

Mrs. Moorman was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Hamilton; her mother, Wesley Hamilton; her first husband, Fred Earl Moorman, Sr.; and her second husband, John Black. Donations and memorials in honor of Mrs. Faye Moorman may be made to the American Cancer Society (donate3. cancer.org).
