Mr. Fennell Eugene Parks, Sr., 67, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Van Stephens, Bro.

Charles Connell and Bro. Joe Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in New River Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Andy Griffin, Clay Connell, Curt Simpson, Justin Simpson, Calvin Hale and Tim Stone will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carey Parks and James Parks.

Mr. Parks was born September 10, 1951 in Tift County to the late Clarence Eugene Parks and Gladys Goddard Parks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bobbie Nell Webb; one brother, Danny Lee Parks. Mr. Parks was a member of New River Free Holiness Church.

He was very active in his church. He also was faithful to his Lord, church and his church family. He loved his family.

Mr. Parks was retired from the United States Army and City of Tifton. He was an engineer in the Army and a good mechanic. He had lived in Tift County all of his life.

He had lived in Germany, El Salvador, Texas, Republic of Panama while serving in the Army. Mr. Parks is survived by his wife, Marlenis Rosa Sanchez Parks; one son, Fennell Arcenio Parks, Jr. of Tifton; four daughters, Hannah Gabriella Parks of Tifton, Michelle and Phil Sharp of Long County, Georgia, Tammy L. Clendenen of California, Amanda L. and Jeffrey Cronin of Alabama; six grandchildren, William Parks, Audrey Sharp, Jessie Spiecher, Jonathan Cronin, Ashley Farmer and Gabbriella Renae Skii Parks; six great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Carey Dean and Gwen Parks and James E. and Debra Parks all of Brookfield; sister-in-law Kaye Parks of Brookfield; seven nephews and two nieces. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to New River Holiness Church, Homer James Road, Lenox, Ga.
