Fidencio Mendoza, age 90, entered into rest on May 9, 2019 in Del Rio. He was born January 7, 1929 in Del Rio. He was an amazing and incredibly hard working man who always strived to provide for his family first and foremost.

He was a caring and loving father and grandfather. His legacy will be forever be treasured by his family. He will always dwell in their hearts and minds.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Mendoza; parents, Maximino Mendoza and Martina Mendoza; brother, Miguel Mendoza; sisters, Susie Flores, and Maria Mendoza. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Rudy Mendoza and wife Yolanda of Del Rio; Juan Mendoza of Del Rio; Rogelio Mendoza and wife Maria of Kenyon, MN; Freddy Mendoza of Del Rio; daughters, Carmen Maldonado and husband Fernando of Del Rio; Rosie Riley of Del Rio; brothers, Max Mendoza of Odessa, TX and Gregorio Mendoza of Del Rio; sister, Amparo Vela of Del Rio; Fidencio is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, in the Trinity Chapel of Faith.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 12 noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Fernando Maldonado, III, Rudy Mendoza Jr., Ray Mendoza, Erik Mendoza, Ernie Flores, and Yunior Cruz.
