Mrs. Florence Devorah Herman 88, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018. A native Washingtonian and seasonal Floridian, she is the daughter of the late Rebecca and Louis Harrison; the beloved wife of Jack for 70 years; the mother of David Herman (Iris Kluser) and Robin Windt (Allan Windt) ; and the loving sister of the late Edith Harrison, Hinda Lapkoff and Bernard Harrison. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She dedicated her time to various charitable endeavors. Many a patient at Morton Plant Mease Hospital smiled as she walked into their rooms dressed as a clown. After retiring, she continued to feed those patients who were unable to do that for themselves.

Up to a month ago, for many years, Florence taught women in a retirement home how to knit. Graveside service will be on October 4 at 10:45 in the Adas Israel Cemetery. Donations can be made, if so desired, to Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater, or Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, DC.

David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Belcher Road Chapel in Clearwater is serving the family.
