Gilliam, 102, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:51 P.M., Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin. Florence had been a seamstress at Country Set. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was born May 14, 1916 at Walker County, AL, the daughter of Boyd and Susie (Thompson) Kimbrell. She married Howard Gilliam on January 11, 1980 at Centralia, IL and he preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter-in-law – Phyllis Rowan of Du Quoin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son – Gary Rowan, six brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Gary Darnell officiating.

Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
