Obituary of Florence Mazzeo Florence J. Mazzeo, 93, of South Lake Avenue and longtime Sycaway resident died on Thursday Jan. 31, 2019 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy in the loving company of her son. Florence was born in Troy on Sept.

4, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie Potenza Vadala. She was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and had retired as a clerk from the New York State Dept. of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics in Albany.

She is the beloved mother of David Mazzeo (Penny Pastula) of Troy; sister of the late Joseph Vadala, Frank Vadala and Mary Bleibtrey; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services were held by the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
