Florine Thomason April 13, 1930 – January 11, 2019 Florine Daisy Thomason passed away at her home in Harrison, AR on Friday, January 11, 2019. She was surrounded by loved ones as she passed thru the golden gates. Florine was born on April 13, 1930 in Alpena, Arkansas.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Tom and Alice Dillingham Bailey, a son, Randy Thomason, two sisters, Christine Stephens and Lillian Carpenter, a brother, D.L Bailey, a granddaughter, Sunny Gail Thomason and a grandson, Bryan Anthony Thomason. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Gerald Gene Thomason, a daughter-in-law, Linda Thomason of Eagle Rock, MO, a son, Ricky Thomason and wife Kathy of Harrison, four daughters, Judy Thomason of Harrison, Ginger Harrison of Branson, MO, Becky Terrell of Fort Smith, AR, and Traci Zimmerman and husband Kenny of Fort Smith, AR. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Shawn Thomason and Camille Perme of Branson, MO, Aaron Thomason of Fayetteville, Brandy and husband Matt McNair of Little Rock, AR, Mandy Stricklin of Branson, MO, Christy Boyle of Springfield, MO, Morgan Parker of Kerrville, Tex, Nathan Terrell of Sutton, AK, and Aimie Terrell of Ft Smith, AR.

Other survivors include 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Gerald Gene and Florine were married on July 4, 1948 in Green Forest, AR. Before building their family home on the Thomason Homestead near Harrison, they also resided in Kansas and California.

Florine’s primary love was for her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She had many hobbies and interests. She was a licensed beautician in her younger years and she had a love for her church.

Other interests include flower gardening, cross stitching, and photography. She was also an advanced button collector and was a member of the Missouri and National Button Societies, where she received many ribbons and accolades for her collection. She was also a talented cook and enjoyed sharing that talent with others.

Visitation will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest, AR, with services following at 2:00 pm with Chaplin Kerry Liggett officiating. Internment will follow at Alpena Cemetery. Pallbearers are Shawn Thomason, Aaron Thomason, Kenny Zimmerman, Matt McNair, Mark Widner, and Kenny Thomason.

Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Terrell, Jesse Gibbany, and Bert Ryan.
