Obituary for Floyd L. Herron Floyd L. Herron, age 81, of Brook, Indiana passed June 21, 2018, at Franciscan Health- Lafayette in Lafayette, Indiana. Floyd was born in Mt. Ayr, Indiana on August 4, 1936, the son of William and Gladys (Rush) Herron.

A graduate of Mt. Ayr High School with the class of 1954, Floyd was a car salesman for twenty-five years at Bartlett Ford in Brookston, Indiana. Floyd enjoyed being outdoors in the yard and could be found mowing or tending to his flowers.

In his free time he liked to engage in a game of Solitaire. Floyd was a former member of the North Newton School Board. On June 27, 1981, in Nevins, Illinois, Floyd married Norma Maynard who survives.

Surviving with his loving wife Norma are five children, Kelly Herron, Indianapolis, IN, Ted (Shirley) Herron, Gilmore, TX, Kent (Gail) Sisson, Christie (Rick) Smart and Scott (Kirsten) Sisson all of Morocco, IN, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Friends will be received at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer with Rick Gerts officiating.
