Forrest Nelson Dye, 81 of South Vienna, died Monday, February 2, 2019 at Springfield Regional Hospital Mr. Dye was born March 13, 1937 in Whipple, Ohio, a son of John Carlton and Vera Louise ( Haas) Dye. He entered the United States Air Force in 1959 and retired in 1989. He was in Viet Nam from 1967 through 1970.

Graduated from Cambridge High School in 1955, then graduated from Ohio University in 1959. He then received his Master’s Degree in Business from Webster College. Mr. Dye is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita (Sautter) Dye; daughters: Carla Dye; Carolyn (Mike) Pritchard; Cynthia Dye; grandchildren: Nathan (Brittany) Pritchard, Matthew Pritchard, and Daniel (Taylor) Pritchard; great grandson: Jude Danny Pritchard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-n-law: Shirley Louise (James) Mitchell; great grandson: Gray Forrest Pritchard. A funeral service will be celebrated 1:00 PM. Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio with Pastor Carey Hovland officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 11:00 AM. until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Troopsfirstfoundation.org.
