Obituary for Ms. Frances Mae Frost Ms. Frances Mae Frost, age 72 of Macclenny, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. Ms. Frost was born June 21, 1946 to the late Albert T & Marjorie (Henry) Jones in Jacksonville, Florida. Frances spent her childhood in Jacksonville and was a 1964 graduate of Paxon High School.

For the last 45 years, Ms. Frost had been a resident of Baker County. She spent 33 years at Northeast Florida State Hospital as a charge aide. For many years up until her passing, Ms. Frances was dedicated to the GFWC Woman’s Club of Macclenny, where she served three terms as Club President.

Along with her sister, she was also responsible for the club’s International Outreach Program, as well as the Marjorie Lord Ministry Annual Toy Drive for unfortunate children. She was a long-time member of Christian Fellowship Temple, where she taught children’s bible study for many years and was known by many for her involvement with the youth of the church. Ms. Frances will be remembered for her strong, independent, yet loving personality and would do anything for those in need.

She was a grandmother to many, taking children, whether hers by blood or not, to and from church and school. Her presence in the church and community will be dearly missed. In her free time, Ms. Frances enjoyed going to yard sales with her best friend, Ms. Shirley Thomas.

She was an avid Florida Gator fan and loved watching NASCAR races. She is survived by her son’s: Robert (Pam) Starling of Macclenny and Richard Frost of Callahan; daughter: Tammy Frost of Jacksonville; grandson’s that she raised as her own: Robert Thomas of Glen St. Mary and Joseph Thomas of Macclenny; brothers: Albert (Joyce) Jones of Florahome and Earl (Valerie) Lord of Macclenny; sister: Marilyn Hodges of Jacksonville; sister in love and best friend: Shirley Thomas of Macclenny; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends also survive. A Celebration of Ms. Frances’ Life will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, with Pastor David Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny.
