Frances P. Stewart, 74, a woman who was beautiful inside as she was out, passed away at 9:40 AM Friday April 20, 2018 at home with her loved ones at her side. Though her last few years were full of challenges, she still maintained a great faith in the Lord and loved laughing with all her family and friends. She also enjoyed spoiling her little dog Jasper.

Frances was a wife, mother and homemaker. She married the late John L. Stewart in August 1960 and they had five children. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, crocheting, visiting family and friends and, of course, fishing!

Frances will be remembered by her smile, her strength, her faith, and the love she had for roses. Surviving are her five children; Lori Sager of Amrbidge, PA, Jill Stewart of Barkeyville, PA, Dawn ( Randy) Stewart-Miller of Grove City, PA, Jean ( Mark) Pusen of Loganville, GA, and John ( Rose) Stewart of Sewickley, PA. Also surviving are her grandchildren Cassandra Mihalek, Gabrielle and husband Josh Shumaker, Alexander Mihalek, Rachel and husband Chris Keller, Kay Pusen, Grace and husband James Green, and Krista Stewart.

Frances is survived by her brother Donald McCandless and his wife Shirley She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Stewart, brother Lonnell McCandless, sisters Ilene McChesney, Lavonne McAteer, Corrine Frampton, and her parents Earl M. McCandless and Violet V. McCandless. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
