Age 79. Beloved wife of Thomas Tomasco, Sr. Devoted mother of Dr. Thomas Tomasco, MD and Virginia Hamell Tomasco of Suffolk, VA.

, Lynn Ann Tomasco Roca and Cesar Roca of San Juan, PR and Coconut Grove, FL. Loving grandmother of Stephanie Tomasco of Virginia Beach, VA, Cesar Roca IV and Anna Podobas of Spring TX, Eric Nicholas Roca of San Juan Puerto Rico. Dear great grandmother of Cesar Gunther Roca V of Spring, TX.

Also survived by family: Joseph and Betty Santilla of Havertown, PA, Charlie (Joseph) and Connie Santilla Venuto of Blackwood, NJ, Richard and Marleen Santilla DeBella of Blackwood, NJ. Six Nephews and one niece, six grandnephews and seven grandnieces. Frances was a loving wife and mother who dedicated a 35 year career at Penn, of her very active and joyous life so that her husband and children enjoyed a full and happy life.

It was said of Fran by the Dean of the Veterinary School, that because of her knowledge, ability and personality, had she been employed in the business world outside the University, she could have been a corporation’s Chief Financial Officer and paid three times as that of the University, however, she enjoyed what she did there and the people with whom she associated, but not the animals they served. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for all even in times in adversity. She often kept her husband in line by considering the feelings of others over her own whether that be family or strangers just to keep peace.

It wasn’t easy at times but she taught him a lot. There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass 11am, Wednesday morning at Holy Child Parish; St. Teresa’s Church 13 E. Evesham Road, Runnemede, NJ.

Entombment Calvary Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Frances to The Samaritan Center at Voorhees, 265 NJ-73, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
