Francis Michael Gillespie January 14, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Francis Michael (Frank) Gillespie, 76, of Upper Darby, PA passed away January 14, 2019 at Vitas Hospice after a long illness. Frank was the son of the late Charles J. and Catherine (Nestor) Gillespie. He was born in Philadelphia October 3, 1942.

He graduated from St. Katherine of Sienna School in Wayne, PA and served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years. Frank was employed by the Philadelphia Electric Company (Exelon). After working as a clerk in the T and D Department, Schuylkill Division in Philadelphia, he retired in 1994.

He is survived by siblings Charles (Linda) Gillespie of Indiana, Kathleen (Jim) Cossey of Florida and Kevin Gillespie of Indiana, four nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. He is also survived by close friend and caretaker Mike (Alice) Dunleavy. Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 21, 2019, at 10 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, where friends may call from 9:30 AM till Mass time.
