Frank Proch passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at his home in Melbourne, Florida after a brief illness. Frank, the son of Francis Proch and Estelle (Dragan) Proch, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 8, 1933. After graduating from Benedictine High School, he entered John Carroll University.
While there he was drafted into the army, spending his time in the laboratories of an army hospital in Germany. After his army service, he resumed his education at John Carroll receiving his bachelor and masters degrees. After graduation he taught at South High School in Cleveland and worked part time as a Middlefield Police officer for twenty years.
Frank married fellow science teacher, Dorothy Hodor, in 1968. They had three children: Pamela Proch (David) Pustay, Caroline Proch (George) Sibel, and Francis Proch (Brenda). Frank had five grandchildren: David Pustay, Brooke Proch, Eric Proch, Jessica Proch, and Anna Sibel.
After Dorothy passed away Frank married Patrice Igoe Davis and moved to Melbourne, Florida, where he continued to enjoy his amateur electronics hobby and shooting activities at the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club. . He enjoyed Model A Fords and was a member of the Model A’s of Greater Orlando and the NEO Model A Chapter of the Penn-Ohio Model A Club, when he was in Madison for the summer.
A funeral mass will be at 10am on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church in Madison with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman, OH.
