Frank’s Obituary Frank Delgado Devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Frank Delgado was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Frank was a wonderful person loved by so many, and will always be cherished in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Frank enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends.

He was known for his jokes, laughs, and his smooth tejano dancing. In 1973, Frank enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served San Diego, CA until being honorably discharged in 1979. In January, 2002 Frank married Lupe Delgado and was welcomed into her family of four children.

Frank loved all his children and grandchildren giving his granddaughters the special names of “Flaca”, “Pumpkin” and “Princess”. Frank worked for Metrocare for 5 years as a Community Advocate for adult mental illness and developmental disabilities. He was known by his colleagues for his tireless energy in helping his local Police Department and City Council become more aware of the disabilities.

During this time, Frank was awarded outstanding achievement from the City of Dallas, Dallas Police Department (DPD) and Metrocare for his dedication and awareness to the program. Frank is survived by his wife, Lupe Delgado; his mother, Lucy Rodriguez; his sister, Christina (Tina) Delgado Arevalo; his children Anthony Delgado (AD), Marivel Alvarez, Maricela Rivera, Adan Alvarez and Anthony Alvarez; his grandchildren, Joseph Padilla, Nathan Valdez, James Castillo, Jr., Michael Valdez, Nicolas Valdez, Christopher Alvarez, Jazarea Rivera (Flaca), Jayla Rivera (Pumpkin), Alyssa Alvarez and Julyssa Rivera (Princess); and his great grandchild, Aiden Valdez. Visitation will begin Friday, August 17, 2018 from 1:30pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service from 4:00 PM – 6:00pm at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will conclude after visitation. The Delgado Family will have a dinner in his honor from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at House of Healing Church, 8000 S. Hampton Rd. Dallas, Texas 75237.
