Griswold – Frank J. Hirst, 75, of Griswold passed away at home on Wednesday June 13, 2018. He was born in Plainfield, CT on July 26, 1942, a son to the late Frances D. (Harrington) and Frank F. Hirst. He was predeceased in 2008 by his wife Joy (Zatorski) Hirst.
Frank was a hardworking and proud Dairy Farmer. He actively worked on his family farm his entire life. Frank was a dedicated Cleveland Browns and Yankees fan, but nothing meant more to him than parking his truck at the local ball fields and catching his granddaughter and grandsons play ball.
To some he was Frank, to others “Grampy” or Dad, but everyone who knew him could agree that he was an honest man with incredible character. If you needed a helping hand, you knew this man was one you could depend on. Frank is survived by his children Frank R. Hirst and Kylie A. Hirst; sisters Beverly Salisbury and Judith Zatorski; grandchildren Kacee, Frank, Kaegan and Kennedy.
