Frank Junius Hardy, born September 8, 1939 departed this life February 4, 2019 at 4:50 a.m. at the Bostonian Nursing and Rehab facility, Dorchester, MA. A longtime resident of Boston, MA, he was married to the late Mary Beatrice White for 30+ years, she preceded him in transitioning in 2017. Daddy supported the community by providing quality work as carpenter, timely deliveries of oil to keep families warm, and creator of tasty cuisines.

He was a well-versed entrepreneur who believed in himself and knew God was with him to do. Daddy gave his life to Christ and lived the new creature and served at Good Shepherd COGIC as deacon. He leaves to mourn daughters Reverend Jacqueline Hardy-Bond (Melvin) of Edenton, NC, Frankie Renee Hardy, Annette Knox, and Carolyn Midgett of Boston, MA, Barbara White of Raleigh NC, sons William E. Hardy (Yolanda) of Greensboro, NC, Frank J. Hardy Jr.(Mary) of Portsmouth, VA, Melvin Hardy (Donna) and Calvin(Donell) of Boston, MA.

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full. And the quiver continues. Grandchildren, Jacqulin N. Hardy, Fall River, MA, Judith Jamison of Charlotte, NC, Jahana Hardy, Alexis White of Atlanta, GA, Tatanger Midget, Shante Midgett, Keisha Patterson, Roslyn Midgett, Sade Midgett, Cherry Midgett, Beatrice Midgett, CC Midgett of Boston, MA, Jameka Hardy, Nya Hardy, and Jala Hardy of Portsmouth, VA.

Grandsons Jeremy T. Lassiter and Timothy E. Lassiter of Malden, MA, John Knox of Springfield, MA, Jimmy Midgett of New Hampshire, Awia White of Atlanta, GA, Walter West,Calvin Hardy, Jr., Aliz’e Combs, J’Veyon Humphries, Jayden Hardy, Treavon Treadway and Damien Knighton of Boston, MA. Daddy believed in taking his grandchildren to Sunday School and church and Haughton Pond for recreation. Two sisters Ethel Judge of Edenton, NC and Dorothy of Boston, MA a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, church family and a community.

Visitation with family will be on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10-11 AM at Good Shepard COGIC, 18 Whittier Street, Roxbury, MA 02120. Celebration of Life Service will start at 11 AM also from the church. Interment will follow to Oak Lawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA 02131.
