Obituary for Frank Puza Frank Puza, of Island Park, NY, passed away on April 10, 2018. After a short illness. Born August 13, 1945, he was married for 41 years and is survived by his wife Jane McArdle Puza.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lucille of Long Beach, and brother Richard of Point Lookout, NY. Dear brother of Penny Weber (Joseph) of Es Fells, NJ. And sister-in-law Ruth Puza of Point Lookout, NY and St. Pauls, NC.
Survived by many devoted and loving relatives, Barbara and Bruce Brady, Dana Brady, Sean Brady, Tiffany and Ryan Donovan, and there children Parker and Piper Donovan. Frank was a long time resident of Island Park. He grew up in long Beach and was a graduate of Long Beach High School.
He was a steam fitter by profession and initially worked for the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The remainder of his career was with the Long Island Railroad. In his youth, Frank was an amateur speed skater, having come from an ice skating family.
His parents met while ice skating at the Brooklyn Ice Palace in the early 1940’s. Everyone in the family skated as soon as they could walk. Frank was also an avid fisherman who loved surf fishing for striped bass.
