Fred Pierce passed away April 27, 2019, at his home in Layton, Utah at the age of 77. He was born May 29, 1941 in Wellington, Utah to Willard and Rosie Pierce. He married the love of his life, Shirleen Butcher, on September 9, 1960 in Evanston, Wyoming.

He retired from Hill AFB after a 37-year career as a boiler plant operator. He enjoyed camping and hunting with family and friends. He loved taking Shirleen out for a night on the town dancing.

He enjoyed seeing family and friends at family gatherings. He was a jack of all trades and was the go to person to fix everything. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirleen Pierce; children, Terry, Debbie (Carl), Barbara Pierce, Larry (Laurel).

Grandchildren; Melissa (Kelsey), Scott (Trent), Adam, Christopher (Mindi), Amanda (J.J.), Holly, Ashlee (Quin), Tyson, Jaycee, 12 great grandchildren, and his faithful companion Brandy. He was preceded in death by his son Randy Pierce, parents, and siblings. A celebration of life will be held on May 11, 2019 from 12:00 to 9:00 pm, at their home 267 Aspen Street Layton, Utah.

Please come celebrate Fred’s life with friends and family at your leisure. The family would like to thank the Summit Hospice team for their loving care of Fred and support of the family. Dr. Nelson, Becca, Aspen, Holly, and Betty Jane.
