OBITUARY Fred Eugene Shaw June 11, 1931 – December 8, 2018 Fred Eugene Shaw, 87, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home. He was born June 11, 1931 in East Chicago to James and Este (Westfall) Shaw. Fred married Betty L. Presser on January 4, 1956 in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was also an US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a lifetime member of VFW 972, and an Eagles 291 member. He liked to mushroom hunt, play softball with his sons for Eagles 291, fish, and was a Golden Glover Boxer. He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings, Robert Shaw, Richard Shaw, Barbara Ellen Shaw, James Shaw, Charles Shaw, Maxine Cobb, Jerry Shaw, and Norman Shaw.

Fred is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty (Presser) Shaw of Terre Haute; his children, Steve Shaw of Terre Haute, Jeff Shaw of Brazil, Tim (Barb) Shaw of Riley, LouAnn (Ted) Nicholson of Seelyville, Frederic (Tammy) Shaw of Marshall, Illinois; his grandchildren, Steve Shaw, Nicole Stutler, Rusty Shaw, Crystal Lawson, Betty Jean Shaw, Timmy Shaw, Cody Shaw, Brayden Shaw, Nicholas Shaw, Kayla Powers, Jessica Smith, Ryan Nicolson, Jeffery Shaw, Michelle Conley, Trudi Weddle, Heather Shaw; several great-grandchildren; his siblings, Danny (Kathy) Shaw of Terre Haute, William Shaw of Florida, June Rose Jones (Edward) Shaw of Brazil, Mary Jane Smithhart (Melvin) Shaw of Brazil, Phyllis Bashaw of Brazil; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 5:00pm with Pastor Adam Penn officiating.

Cremation has been chosen. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks for donations toward funeral costs. Online condolences can be made at www.
