Obituary for Fred G. Newton Fred G. Newton, 61, born January 22, 1957 to the late William F. “Bill” Newton Sr. and Clara Shank Newton in Little Rock, Arkansas. Fred was a member of Cross Journey Church in North Little Rock. He retired from CenterPoint Energy after 34 years of service.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting whitetail deer and spending time with his family and friends at deer camp. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Andrea Lane Newton.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susie Newton, daughter Ashley (Nathan) Harrington of Oolagah, Oklahoma, his son, Cpl. William Carroll (Lacy) Newton of Marine Corps base Camp Pendleton, California, daughter, Virginia Newton of North Little Rock, sister Pat Bass of Little Rock, brother, William F. “Sonny” Newton, Jr. of Ferndale, three grandsons, Taylor, Jacob, and River Harrington, son of our heart, Patrick Paladino, and a multitude of extended family and friends. Pallbearers are Billy Hamilton, Bobby Bandy, Wendell Thompson, JR Hartle, John Henry Flannigan, George Stone, Patrick Paladino and Carroll Newton.

Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Harrington, Brandon Bryan, Taylor, Jacob, River Harrington, and Johnny Frazier. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Cross Journey Church.
