Fred’s Obituary Fred William McKenzie, Jr., 76 of Harrisonville, Missouri; formerly of Holden, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at his home. Fred was born January 2, 1943 at Kansas City, Missouri, son of Fred William McKenzie, Sr. and Dorothy Mildred (Smith). He attended Lee’s Summit Schools.

He was united in marriage to Martha Kay Goodall on April 22, 1963 in Holden. The couple made their home in Holden for the past several years. They resided in Laramie, Wyoming from 2006 to 2016.

For the past two years, they have lived in Harrisonville. Fred loved horses, word search puzzles and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Martha; daughter: Fairy “Bunny” (Ken) Barker of Louisburg, KS; three sisters: Lorna Marie (David) Foster of Fayetteville, AK; Patricia Delores (Ronald) Deertz of Green Forrest , Ar and Linda Kay (Brad) Cummings o f Berryville, AR; three brothers: Terry Eugene (Amy) McKenzie; Allen Lee (Marsha) McKenzie of Independence, MO and Larry Dean (Elaine) Sr. of Centerview, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Jon Clayton of Faith Chapel in Louisburg, Kansas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holden Cemetery.
