Obituary for Freda McCord Freda M. McCord, age 71, of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 10, 2018 in Cambridge,Ohio. She was born in Webster Springs, W. Va. on December 29, 1946 to Wordell and Mildred (McMillon) Wilson.

Freda married Lonnie L. McCord on April 3, 1967 in Maryland. He went home to be with the Lord, on October 4, 2012. She had been a Dalton resident for over 50 years.

She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Massillon Community Hospital and the Visiting Nurse Services for many years; loved spending time with family along with camping and staying at Seneca Lake Campground in Cambridge for many years and enjoyed spending time with her feline companion and gambling. She is survived by her children, Stephen L. (Malissa) McCord of Orrville and Tammy L. (Gregory) Groves of Massillon; grandchildren, Gregor, Dylan, Sierra McCord and Jessica and Kaitlyn Booth; brothers, Vincent Wilson of Willoughby, and Allen (Nancy) Wilson of Orrville and a sister, Carol Cutlip of Willoughby. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. Cecil Farmer officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services (10:00 – 11:00 a.m.) on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (O.W.R.N.C.) Beautification Project, 10175 Rawiga Rd. , Seville, Ohio 44273. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
