He graduated from DeVry University in June 1989. He married Lily Valdez on August 9, 2014 in Austin, TX. He worked as an Equipment Engineer at NXP Semiconductors for 20+ years.

Freddie will be forever remembered by his wife, Lily Valdez, and their two sons Nick Valdez and Ian Canava, He is survived by his mother, Frances Valdez, his siblings Julian Valdez Jr. and America Valencia, and by his entire extended family.
