OBITUARY Frederick John Lengsfeld May 9, 1926 – September 16, 2018 Frederick John Lengsfeld, 92, a Veteran of World War II and life long resident of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Sunday September 16, 2018. He was married to Helen May Emkey for 32 years and is survived by his daughter, Elaine Hough and her husband Eric Hough, as well as niece Karen Hahn who he loved like a daughter. He is also survived by siblings, Mary Dorer, Thomas Lengsfeld, and Genevieve Thim.

Fred was a 50 year employee of Esskay Meat Packing Company. He was an extremely hard worker whose spirit would lift when helping a friend or family member. He especially enjoyed grocery shopping for and chauffeuring friends to appointments who could no longer drive.

A connoisseur of lazy afternoon hammock naps while listening to country music, in his younger days, Fred famously drove his bright orange moped around the city. Fred brought great joy to everyone he met. His one of a kind sense of humor, his integrity, and compassion, will remain in our minds and hearts everyday to come The family will receive friends at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Rd.

) Timonium, MD 21093 on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 10 to 11 am at which a time a funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Mr. Lengsfeld’s memory to MJ’s Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 2084, Bowie, MD 20718.
