Fredrick “Fred” David Ferrier Jr. Born in Los Angeles, California, on August 27, 1932 to A. Blanche Ferrier and Fredrick D. Ferrier Sr. His parents moved the family to Bloomington, California where his father worked as an auto mechanic. Fred was in the Army from 1952 to 1955 as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, for the 610th Engineer Co. After he was released from active duty, Fred served 8 years in the Army Reserves. After serving in the Army Fred returned to California and went to work for Southern California Edison where he worked as a Lineman for 32 years.

He retired in Goleta, California where he met his fourth wife, Dolores “Darlene” Ferrier. They married in September 2008. They enjoyed travel, food and laughter.

Frederick D. Ferrier Jr. is survived by his wife, Dolores “Darlene” Ferrier, his three sons, James D Sleutel, Fredrick David Ferrier the 3rd, and John Davis Ferrier. Fred has seven grandchildren. Fred is also survived by one sister Frances Hinojosa and five brothers William Charles Ferrier, Robert Joseph Ferrier, John Thomas Ferrier, Warren Wesley Ferrier, and Daniel Edward Ferrier.
