Neufeld August 27, 1926 – January 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Frieda Braun Neufeld, 92, died January 21, 2019, at Kidron Bethel Nursing Home, North Newton. She was born August 27, 1926, in Henderson, NE, to Jacob I. and Marie (Regier) Braun. Frieda graduated from Henderson High School, NE, in 1942 and attended Tabor College and Iowa Wesleyan University.

Frieda was a LPN for many years and also an elementary teacher. She was a member of Eden Mennonite Church. She was very artistic and loved gardening and cooking.

On June 2, 1951, she married Walter P. Neufeld in Henderson, NE. They shared 67 years of marriage. He survives.

Other survivors include: children, Jean (Gary) Regier, Alan (Kathy) Neufeld, all of Moundridge, James (Terri) Neufeld of Greeley, CO, Janet Neufeld of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerold (Kathy) Neufeld of Caldwell, ID, 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Gregg Snyder of Springville, CA; siblings, Harlan (Nancy) Braun of Henderson, NE, Esther (Jake) Ediger of Topeka, Lillian Witzel of Phoenix, Ariz. , Wes Braun of Baton Rouge, LA, and Wilma (LeRoy) Balzer of Alamo, Calif. and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alene Ediger, Hannah Morehead; and daughter, Christine Snyder. Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2019, at Eden Mennonite Cemetery, with memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Eden Mennonite Church.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Moundridge Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MCC: Care for Moms and Babies or Eden Mennonite Church, in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
