Gail F. Garsteig, 80, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of West Fargo, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in a Cape Coral Hospital. Gail was born April 29, 1938, in Fargo, the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Robinson) Hoganson. She was raised and educated in West Fargo.

Gail was employed in banking. She married Ron Garsteig in 1964. They lived for a time on a farm near Wheatland, ND.

The couple later lived in Fargo, Vero Beach, FL, Grand Forks, ND and Cottage Grove, MN before settling in Cape Coral, FL. Gail loved to travel, spend time with her family and was looking forward to the arrival of a great-granddaughter. She will be remembered for the fierce love she had for her family and being the most organized person, anyone could know.

She was preceded in death by parents: Clarence and Mary Hoganson and a sister: Karen. She is survived by her loving husband: Ron of 53 years and dog: Coco; sons: Michael (special friend Maureen) and Brian (Darlene); grandsons: Ron and Dale (Leah); siblings Linda Phingsten (Marvin), John Hoganson (Cathy), Anne Jacobs (John), many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
