Obituary for Gail Wright Noel Gail Wright Noel 81 of Boaz passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by her beloved family. She is survived by her Husband of 59 years Donald E. Noel, Children; Donald E. Noel Jr., Mandaine Noel Miller, Son-in-law; Dan Miller, Grandchildren; Marshall and Dane Miller who were the joys of her life, and a host of family and friends. Gail grew up in Boaz, attended Boaz Schools, First Baptist Church and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1958 with a degree in Elementary Education.

She also had a Masters in Elementary Education. Gail taught school for 26 years and she loved it. She was the rare teacher that students remember forever.

School Principle and Noted Educator R.P. Steed said she was the best classroom teacher he ever saw. She worked at First Baptist Church her entire life. She started as a teenager and worked until her health declined.

She worked in Sunday School GA’s, Bible School, ets. Gail worked with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Marshall County Animal Wellfare Society, the Library Board and many others. Gail was instrumental in getting the History of Boaz and the History of First Baptist Church books published.

She spent 41/2 years working on the projects. Gail also helped plan the centennial celebrations in Boaz. Gail is preceded in death by her Mother; Lucile Snellgrove Wright.

Her Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2018 at Etowah Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 until 2 before the service on Monday at the funeral home. Bro.

Aaron Johnson and Bro. Keith Dodd will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Burnett, Bob Noel Gerald Noel, Wayne Burke, Don Morton, and Dan Miller.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy Smith, Stuart Noel, Blake Noel, and Harold Reeves. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to; First Baptist Church Boaz, Shepherds Cove Hospice, Albertville, Al. , Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes, Decatur, Al.
