Gale’s Obituary Gale T. Hanover Kawkawlin, Michigan Gale passed away Tuesday evening, January 22, 2019 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center in Saginaw, at the age of 80 years. The son of the late Clarence and Elsie (Stegmann) Hanover was born July 24, 1938 in Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Gale enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife the former Barbara J. Baird whom he married September 19, 1963; three daughters, Terri (Russell) Vittitow, Caren (Richard) Kolb and Lori Hanover; his grandchildren, Sara (Blaise) LaPrad, Brandon (his fiancé, Karleigh Madaj) Vittitow, Kelsey Vittitow, KC, Coby and Kaleb Kolb, his great granddaughter, Charlotte LaPrad; two sisters, Marilyn (Ronald) Collier and Carol (Jerry) Schmolitz; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dale (his twin) and Melvin Hanover. At the request of Gale cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to the Aleta E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center Palliative and Hospice Care.
