Obituary for Galen B. “Diamond Jim” Miller Jr. Galen B. Miller Jr., 93, passed away Sunday in a local hospital. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and has called Benicia his home for the past 5 years. He worked for more than 50 years as a certified public accountant.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and World War II and coincidentally passed on Veterans Day. He enjoyed golf, photography, traveling and rooting for the 49ers. Galen is survived by his children Galen B. Miller III and Cande M. Nelson; grandchildren Crystal, Galen IV, Julene, Christin, Ginger & Daniel and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Gale Wolfe and his former wife Estolene Margaret Miller. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 5th at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.
