Garland Beasley, age 74, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Beasley was born on August 14, 1944 in Douglas, Georgia the son of the late Carl Beasley and Odessa Carver Beasley. Mr. Beasley was a farmer and was preceded in death by three brothers, Elbert Beasley, Ronnie Beasley and Huey Beasley and two sisters, Opal Wright and Florence Varnedore.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Anthony Beasley of Douglas, GA; two sons, Stan Beasley (Kim) of Douglas, GA and Van Beasley (Cindy) of Douglas, GA; daughter, Alisa Beasley Wood (William) of Pensacola, FL; sister, Maxine Lowe of Douglas, GA; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Saturday March 9, 2019 at 2:00pm at Beasley Family Cemetery with Rev. Billy Musgrove officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6pm to 9pm at Sims Funeral Home. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www. simsfuneralhome.com.
