Garret Charles Skipper, 48, of San Bernardino and Rancho Mirage passed away January 15, 2019. Garret was born on April 20, 1970 in San Bernardino and graduated from Cajon High School in 1988. At Cajon, he was quarterback and kicker for the 1987-88 CIF Championship Football Team as well as a three-time league champion swimmer and diver.

He attended USC and the University of Redlands where he was named a Division III Football All-American Kicker. His love for sports naturally led him to coaching where he had an impact on countless young people. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald G. Skipper.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Skipper; sisters, Rhonda Marple and Kristin Arellano; nephew, Christopher Marple; nieces, Lauren Marple, Alysa Arellano and Erynne Arellano; aunts, Jerry Atkins, Marilyn Stubbs, Carol O’Brien and numerous cousins and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 25, 2019, 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 1900 North D Street, San Bernardino.
