Gary August Larson, age 72, formerly of Ferndale, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Snohomish, WA. Gary was born on November 24, 1945in Bellingham to Herbert August and Jean (Kroontje) Larson. His younger years were spent farming and raising horses on the family farm.

After graduating from Ferndale High School, he built custom homes throughout Whatcom County and was in the Real Estate business for many years. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and loved the mountains, trail riding, hunting and fishing. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lorri Larson and infant son.

He is survived by daughters Leanne (Jerry) Steinbach, Lana (Steen) Larson-Willand, and Lesley Holdridge, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. After all of the mental health struggles in his life, we remember all the good. We are comforted by his strong faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that he is now in a better place.

Go rest high on that mountain. Private family graveside service will be held.
