Gary Don “Possum” McConnell, 58, passed away on February 14, 2019 in the comfort of his home. Don was born in Dallas to Lloyd and Alma McConnell on March 4th, 1960. He has been with the love of his life, Arika, for 27 years.

He worked as a mechanic at the city of Dallas for 20 years. Don was a avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed attending concerts with his wife and just spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother Alma and father Lloyd. Gary Don is survived by his wife Arika, his son Patrick McConnell and Brittany, his brother Tommy Hester, sister Brenda Massey, brother Kenneth McConnell and Jenny, Sister Sue Lockaby and Ben. Gary Don was blessed with many nieces and nephews who adored him.

Gary Don was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Don will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will forever be in our hearts.
