Obituary for Gary E. Dahl Gary E. Dahl, 68, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2018. He was born to Eugene A. and Julia (Bray) Dahl on November 6, 1950 in Indianapolis. He graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1968.

He served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Gary is survived by a loving son, Michael Dahl of Bargersville; a loving daughter, Shelly Ellis of Carmel; six grandchildren, Julia, Travis, Alex, Cody, Luke and William; parents, Eugene and Julia Dahl; a sister, Tonia Richman of AZ; three brothers, Jimmy Dahl of AZ, Ronny Dahl of FL and Bobby Dahl of CA. Gary was a Cab Driver in Indianapolis for several years.

He was an avid reader. He enjoyed writing and loved to debate. He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life.
