Gary’s Obituary Gary James Glownia age 71 of Ionia, MI passed away May 2, 2019. He was born on June 15, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Thomas and Agnes (Trocki) Glownia. Gary served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He married Gayle Potter on July 7, 1973 in Grand Rapids. They moved to Ionia in 2002 where they run a small hobby farm with goats, sheep and chickens. He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

Gary adored his family and enjoyed working on the farm, woodworking and attending his daughters’ activities. Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years Gayle Glownia of Ionia; daughters Robyn (Brian) Richardson of Kalamazoo and Amanda Tamburello of Lexington, KY; grandchildren Finley Richardson and Scout Richardson; sister Pamela (John) Gernacy of West Bloomfield and brother Robert (Michaeline) Glownia of Lake Orion. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Tom Brown celebrant. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rosary at 7:00 PM.
