Mr. Gary Lee Gilbert, Sr., age 70, of Dallas passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on Monday, January 3, 1949. Mr. Gilbert was the son of the late, Lee Gilbert and the late, Jaqueline Alyce (Johnson) Gilbert.

Besides his parents, Mr. Gilbert is preceded in death by one daughter, Jaqueline Gilbert and by one sister, Pam Schuey. Mr. Gilbert served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. Later in life, Mr. Gilbert made a career as a welder and fabricator.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gary, Jr. and Tammy Gilbert of Leesburg, Georgia; one sister, Lana Zitelli of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; one grandson and his wife, Gary III and Charley Gilbert of Leesburg, Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Kylee Gilbert of Leesburg, Georgia and a number of other relatives. In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mr. Gilbert will be cremated. The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
