Obituary for Gary R Mello Gary R. Mello, 70, of Miami FL, passed away on April 27, 2018, as he lost his battle with Heart Disease. He was born in Warwick, Rhode Island, on August 16, 1947. He was married to his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, Kimberly.

At 18 he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Homestead. After his military service, he signed with the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 2009, taking on the role of Papa to his grand, and great-grandchildren. He was survived by Kimberly, daughter Lori Toler (Buddy), son Joey, 4 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren, siblings Joseph, Laurette, George, Keith, Lisa and Butch.

He was preceded in death by parents Joseph Mello and Laurette Williams, sister Carol, and sons Gary Richard and Brian Edward.
